Tribes of the 21st Century Screening Party

Congratulations to Leah, Sunny, Charlie, John Michael and Lone Star for a job well done. The third segment of the "Tribes" anthology is a hit if the crowd reaction at the Ferret & Firkin this past Thursday was any indication.

My own impressions were that it was thoughtful, warm, genuine and genuinely interesting. The cinematography was top notch as was the narrative. I've seen most of the messenger related stuff out there and this one takes the cake. Congratulations again to 4 fabulous Toronto messengers and Lone Eagle Productions.

Here is a Thank-you from Sunny D to all the people that came out in support on Thursday. She sent it over Facebook, if you are not on the TOBMA Facebook thing yet consider checking it out, I think there is a link on the links page here at Tobma.com.

Subject: Spank-yous!

I just wanted to send a heart-felt thank you out to everyone who showed up for the screening. It was like watching a movie premiere, the way everyone was cheering and such.
Don't forget to come out to the next VeloSocial on October 6th at 152A Augusta Avenue, and hopefully by then I'll have a dvd copy of the show to screen again!
A special thank you goes out to Rachel Young for keeping it locked down tight! Thanks for organizing such a great event.
Thanks,

~S

Hey there Messengers and friends! The site is alive and kicking and there will be much new content put up in the coming weeks. I've recently been put in charge of maintaining tobma.com, and hope to make it a community resource and central source of information about the goings on of messengers in Toronto. And so it begins!

Cheers,

Josh Teneycke
